Author: Jeremiah Ray

Jeremiah Ray is an interdisciplinary artist and writer. His visual artwork reflects an ongoing journey of exploration. Having traveled extensively during his formative years, he aims to teach others how to discover their unique voices in art, believing that it transcends verbal communication. In 2016, after being diagnosed with advanced testicular cancer, his perspective on art shifted significantly. This experience heightened his awareness of the challenges associated with vulnerability and communication. Guided by these themes, Jeremiah has embarked on a personal journey of healing and self-discovery.

birds
call out early
night
of wakefulness
and humidity

cool evening
sunset burns sky
soon dark

do you remember
being here

summer and
gentle rain
you
so beautiful,

human touch
help me
with this weight

i ask
you
so beautiful.

the petals fall in the rain
just gentle drops
too fragile a flower
rain falls
the earth collects them

tidal waters go
pungent mudflats
tidal waters come
sweet sea air

buds have almost opened
the sun rises early
when did this happen
one day spring

Jeremiah Ray Poetry 21/05/201821/01/2023

the bird is losing its mind.
it was yesterday, too.
the grass is greener &
the buds are open.
the bird is losing its mind.
