do you remember
being here
summer and
gentle rain
you
so beautiful,
human touch
help me
with this weight
i ask
you
so beautiful.

the petals fall in the rain
just gentle drops
too fragile a flower
rain falls
the earth collects them
tidal waters go
pungent mudflats
tidal waters come
sweet sea air
take this in
breath
take this in
buds have almost opened
the sun rises early
when did this happen
one day spring
the bird is losing its mind.
it was yesterday, too.
the grass is greener &
the buds are open.
the bird is losing its mind.
restless
a storm is coming
in the sky to the west
the sun is setting
a slender ribbon of light
trapped between nightfall
and restless clouds
driftwood
polished white
by the sun
was there pity
in such an action
fog takes you
swimming in it
silhouette
then gone
rain on the verge of snow.
my tea lets go of curling steam.
